Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. 

Position: Befriending Manager (Cheshire East) 
Location: Cheshire East 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 20 per week 
Salary: £26,000per yearactual per year 

About the Role: 
You will be part of a team of staff and will be responsible for developing and delivering our befriending scheme, recruiting and supervising volunteers and matching them with people with dementia that are suitable for befriending. 

About You: 
will have experience in the voluntary and community sector, with experience of managing volunteers. 

You will have excellent communication skills, with experience and knowledge in a social care setting. Must be a motivated self-starter with initiative and drive. Knowledge of or experience of Dementia would be an advantage
