JOB TITLE: Buyer
JOB SUMMARY: Successful candidate will be accountable for the effective procurement of good and services, supporting the requirements of the Project Team and effective integration of the suppliers

LOCATION: London
SALARY: £32,400 – £36,000pa
MUST HAVES: Experience of buying/procurement within a construction or civil engineering environment. Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.

The COMPANY
My client are a leading contractor within the construction and civil engineering industry with projects varying from highways/infrastructure to bridge repairs and commercial builds.

The ROLE
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Produce orders from site requisitions on a daily basis
* Hire plant
* Schedule materials
* Produce cost analysis
* Distribute purchase orders to suppliers and sites

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong applicants with the following experience:
* CIPS qualification (desirable)
* Experience of buying/procurement in the construction/civil engineering sector
* Strong negotiation skills
* Sound financial and analytical skills
* Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
