Salary: £21.6 – £24 per hour

Force Contracting Services are a well established, successful Civil Engineering firm based in Worksop. Due to a period of sustained growth, we are now looking to speak with Buyers who are interested in joining one of the UK’s fastest growing engineering companies.

Please see below a brief outline of the duties required for the position:

• Managing relations with multiple suppliers, negotiate pricing and coordinate deliveries with site
• Developing and implementing purchasing strategies that will positively impact their quality and costs
• Obtaining supplier quotations to aid the bid team
• Working to improve purchasing systems and processes
• Reviewing supplier performance to ensure continued high standards of delivery, quality and cost
• Managing daily purchasing activities, the supplier database, purchase records and related documentation are maintained – Working closely with the yard manager to ensure inventory control is maintained, and inventory needs are determined and managed – Ensuring equipment and machinery within office and factory are maintained.
• Liaising with stores to ensure stock is optimised including predicting shortages of equipment
• Ensuring that all procured items meet the required standard and specifications

We are interested in speaking with anyone that has experience within a purchasing/buyer role and ideally within a busy, engineering setting.

Full training will be provided on our in house systems
