Business Development Manager – Catering & Vending

They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their ever-growing team.The purpose of the role is to facilitate the growth of the business by developing successful proposals for sales tenders within the Local vending and catering sector. This is a demanding role that will require the successful candidate to own retail proposals at every stage of the sales process, including business case development and writing the proposal. You will need to develop a good understanding of their customers’ visions, strategy and plans in order to maximise new business generation opportunities. You will develop and write tender proposals for each retail opportunity using the appropriate, initiative, creatively and research techniques and develop supporting business cases for each opportunity using sound financial forecasting and practice. You will be working closely with the finance and commercial teams and conduct site visits to survey retail opportunities within a wide range of establishment.

You must have previous Business Development experience in a competitive sales environment, ideally you will have experience within the FM arena. You will possess excellent IT literacy skills and knowledge in using applications such as MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word, while also having written and verbal skills that enable you to liaise confidently with clients. It’s also desirable to have formal sales training and/or experience implementing new retail opportunities, from proposals development to mobilisation.
