Reporting to the CEO, the EMEA Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales with new accounts with a focus on growing AIM listed companies, FTSE firms, and similar businesses. You will foster long-term relationships with new clients that have a need for in-licensing new patented technologies from the world’s leading research universities.

Responsibilities will include:

– Develop and execute sales with particular focus on the identification, qualification, acquisition and growth of relationships with high growth AIM quoted and FTSE organisations
– Support third party sales by identifying and working with our partners
– Develop an action plan for the UK and analyse results using measurable success factors
– Lead the consultative sales process, conduct telephone, online and in-person presentations to procure sales
– Create deliver and close proposals to prospective clients
– Continuously build and maintain an active sales pipeline
– Provide prospect, customer and market feedback to senior management

This is a homebased role, although access to the EMEA HQ in the South East will be requir
The Business Development Manager will have a demonstrated sales track record of success, be highly self-motivated and be able to work independently and remotely while managing the entire sales process involving complex engagements. Based out of the firm’s South East base or your home office in the United Kingdom, you will play a key role in assisting sales growth objectives.

Essential:
– Strong solution-selling, account planning, proposal creation and closing skills
– Proven track record closing a combination of six-figure technology solution deals and smaller license deals in large enterprises
– Polished online and in-person presentation and negotiation skills
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team as required
– Strong, relevant network with senior managers and C suite executives that will compliment your efforts to establish new accounts
– A passion for selling new technology

Desirable:
– Experience in technology licensing
– Multi-language capabilities (particularly French and/o

Basic salary plus £120k OTE, equity options and benefits package.
