A Business Analyst is required to join a team with the key objectives of innovation, design and specification of new products and product improvements at a leading supplier of software solutions and services to the real estate sector.

Reporting to the Software Innovation Team Manager, this important role requires an enthusiastic individual who has the ability and communication skills to understand and translate business requirements into business and technical proposals within an Agile environment. You will work closely with other analysts, software developers and colleagues throughout the company.
You will have a wide range of skills, able to work at a level where you can specify work for a developer who has no business/product skills and also provide high level modern web-based product designs. You will be involved in all stages of software development, from research, analysis, design and testing to fault finding.
From time to time, you will be required to assist sales presentations, provide consultancy and work with customers to define requirements and business processes.

* Contributing to the design and evolution of products
* Agreeing and executing test plans
* Reviewing major new functional specifications and when requested, provide assistance to other areas of development
* Internal support
* Investigation of problems reported by clients that the helpdesk is unable to resolve
* Providing pre-sales support
* Assist with other roles in the department as and when required
Skills
* An understanding of Agile principles
* Able to work both alone and collaboratively as part of a creative team
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, both in small and large forums
* Able to translate detailed and complex business problems to colleagues who have little or no property management or accounting experience
* Able to work under pressure, prioritise and meet agreed deadlines
* Be willing and able to take responsibility – demonstrating recent examples of this
* Display effort and application in achieving results
Ideal experience
of some of the following would be advantageous, although not all are essential as training will be given in the company’s products where needed.
* Knowledge of property management plus property and financial accounting principles
* Using or implementing PropTech related applications such as Manhattan, Tramps, o6ix, BlueBox, Yardi Voyager, Horizon, Qube, MRI, Propware, Estateman, Propman, SAP Re, Pex etc.
* Knowledge of regulations governing Property Management (e.g. RICS)
* Knowledge of associated business issues to ensure credibility with internal staff and customers at all levels
* Competence in Microsoft Office products
* Automated testing software
* Project tracking and work management software
Earnings are commensurate with experience representing an expected total of £48,000 – £60,000plus a range of benefits and may be more for a truly exceptional candidate. Those with salary expectations outside of this range but with the required experience are invited to apply and will be considered.
At the moment you will work from home. In the longer term you will be expected to attend the Central London offices, although this can be only part of the week. On that basis, you should reside within a reasonable commuting distance. In the future some travel to clients primarily within the UK may be required but only occasionally.
