Business Analyst

Arlington Moore is working on behalf of a successful company who are looking to appoint a Business Analyst / Data Analyst to join their operation. 

The purpose of the Data Analyst / Business Analyst role is to design and deliver insights from the data held within the company, inform other department development strategies, to be part of a team to maximise investment in ERP and to provide support to the workflow team.

Main Tasks of the Data Analyst role:

• Organisation of data collection and Management Information (MI), reports and insights
• Producing monthly project specific highlight reports
• Producing bespoke performance insights as requested by the Operations Team
• Working with external stakeholders to understand and investigate tools and techniques available for data collection, analysis, and feedback
• Using data modelling practices to analyse findings and work with other teams to identify operational and performance improvements
• Producing written & visual documentation to support operations management
• Investigating current features and keeping up to date with new features within the ERP software used and making suggestions

Key Skills of the Data Analyst / Business Analyst

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences
• The ability to act as an intermediary between parties to translate how information technology can support the organisation’s needs
• Previous experience of ERP packages. Good knowledge of SQL, Excel, Microsoft Power BI and data manipulation techniques
• A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change
• Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
• A strong interest in business and business development
• A good understanding of information technology
• Project management skills and in-depth knowledge of the full project commissioning cycle
