Business Analyst

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

Business Analysts – Payments, Fintech, ISO8583

Responsibilities include:

* Understand, document and manage business requirements.

* Conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.

* Define & deliver functional requirements.

* Partner with the QA team to create detailed test plans.

* Partcipate in test case/script & results review for completeness, accuracy and improvement opportunity.

* Coordinate with QA teams in Business and Technology blocks to ensure full coverage of testing and test result validation

* Communicate regularly with project stakeholders and provide consistent follow up on the status of issues.

* Actively participate and sometimes conduct team status meetings.

* Drive excellence in requirements gathering & capture.

* Participate in the generation of high quality support documentation and diagrams on collaborative platforms

Qualifications and Experience

Business Analysts – Payments, Fintech, ISO8583
Essential

* Payments (preferably in card issuing but this is not critical) experience. Visa/MasterCard, ISO8583 is a must.

* Experience in working as part of a technology team delivering a low latency, high volume multi-tier application.

* A logical approach and ability to think outside the box when problem solving and the flexibility to work in a fast changing environment.

* Technical development or software implementation experience.

* Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM) or equivalent technical discipline.

Desirable

* Experience in the financial sector.

* Understanding of transaction processing systems, preferably with some exposure to electronic point of sale and ATMs

* Experience in writing and using transact-SQL queries

* Experience of working in a high pressure environment where system functionality has a direct effect on the bottom line.

* Proven experience with several of the following would be beneficial.

* Oracle
