Business Analyst

The Client

Our client is a long established FTSE 100 Company based in Central London. A rare opportunity has arisen based in their prestigious West End HQ to join an exciting number of new and existing projects within the IT/Finance Departments of this organisation.

The Role

We require a strong Business Analyst with over 5 years of experience of working within a FTSE Company with a successful track record as a Business Analyst managing multiple projects & business streams. The role entails capturing business requirements from end users throughout the organisations’ various Finance Departments so that they can be translated into tangible projects by the internal team of Developers and then managed by the BA/PM. Continuity is vital for this client hence the long term initial contract and genuine opportunity for a long term assignment.

Duties

– Create/develop business requirements definition documentation and functional specifications
– Create/develop process flows and process maps
– Developing data flow diagrams/data modelling and defining data structures/governance
– Create/develop systems architecture documentation
– Assist Project Manager to coordinate requirements gathering, design, training, test and implementation activities
– Create training plan, test plan and help prepare test use case scenarios; lead test activities and coordinate defects identification and resolution
– Collaborative working style whilst being able to progress agreed deliverables with minimum supervision
– Identifies and escalates risks/issues appropriately

The Candidate

– 5 + years experience of business analysis techniques
– Experience of TOM
– Understanding of the software development lifecycle and both traditional and agile delivery methodologies
– Knowledge of financial reporting, management reporting and planning, budgeting and forecasting processes would be advantageous
– Exposure to finance change projects and finance systems implementation projects, across ERP, performance management and business intelligence systems would be advantageous
