Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst – Inverness

The Role
This role forms a key part of the Business Solutions team with an emphasis on forming and developing external relationships with internal Business Units. Business Systems Analysts will enable positive change within the Business Units by defining needs, developing a business case for solution implementation and recommending software solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

To build and develop key client relationships and to manage change.
To determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
Recommending controls by identifying problems.
To aid design of new computer systems by analysing requirements. Constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications and test cases.
Define project requirements and divide requests into manageable tasks.
Guide the Business Unit through the User Acceptance Testing process.
To chaperone requests through the appropriate procedure.
Contribution to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
To supervise and guide Junior Business System Analysts.
To act as a liaison between the Business Unit and the development team.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state of the art practices; participating in professional societies.
Input and manage projects in SharePoint.
Identify new technologies and procedures to improve the internal systems.

Interfaces
Reports to the Business Solutions Manager and the relevant Project Manager
Work closely with other Business Analysts to facilitate knowledge share
Interface with Business Unit Management
Communicate requirements clearly and accurately to the Software Engineer for solution development
Work with the Trainer to establish training required for solution implementation
Work with the Technical Author to help develop required documentation
If required escalate any request to the Senior Management Team for resolution
