Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Nottinghamshire – Water

I am currently working on behalf of a well-established client who has an opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the Nottinghamshire to work on water projects.

My client has very long term and secured workloads with valuable contracts working on some very unique and interesting projects. The company also has a strong reputation as a great employer who offer some market leading benefits.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Duties & Responsibilities:

-Provide day to day Contract administration and support
-Prepare, review and submit quotes and early warning notices for acceptance and authorisation
-Update plans and amend prices
-Revise monthly plans and update with completed works
-Monthly financial reporting
-Assist in the financial and contractual optimisation of performance of the contract
-Deal with contract variations and changes and update business teams
-Give advice to colleagues on routine contractual matters
-Attend weekly & monthly review meetings
-Contribute towards promoting efficiencies and streamlining processes and procedures

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Key Skills & Experience:

-Degree Qualified (Essential)
-NEC contract experience (ideal)
-A contract management background
-Good awareness of commercial and financial business aspects
-Strong Microsoft skills
-Strong communication skills
-Pro-active approach
-Full UK Driving Licence

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Remuneration:

-£26,000 – £36,000 per year (dependent on experience)
-Other associated benefits including excellent pension and bonus scheme
