Assistant Maintenance Manager

Salary: £36,000 per year

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Maintenance Team. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Maintenance Manager to work within the established Maintenance Team.

The successful candidate must be totally committed to the role, with an enthusiastic, outgoing, flamboyant personality and ready to go the extra mile. You need to be a good team-leader, with developed customer care skills and a very keen eye on detail. Fluency in English is essential.

The position reports to the Maintenance Manager with whom you are responsible for Maintenance Engineers. You are required to carry out a wide variety of general maintenance tasks in all departments of the hotel such as basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry work along with more specific tasks concerning the Air Conditioning and BMS control System, PABX, VDA Electronica systems, and general IT system maintenance. In addition the communication links between Maintenance, Housekeeping and Front Office in particular need to be maintained and strengthened in order that work is carried out within the hotel with little or no impact to the guests. You must be aware of and adhere to all statutory and company regulations to Health & Safety, Fire and security within the Hotel. You will be required to liaise with contractors regularly to ensure that work is carried out to the specification required, on time and within budget. You will be responsible with the Manager to co-ordinate orders and stock items to ensure cost effectiveness and that all the relevant paperwork and documentation required by the Hotel and relevant legislation is kept up to date. Work with the Security Manager to react and respond effectively to Fire Alarms, faults or failures of the lifts and equipment.
