Assistant Accountant

Salary: £36,000 per year

We are recruiting exclusively for a permanent, full-time, Assistant Accountant who has CIS experience for a UK recognised business based in the Leicester area. This is a permanent role and paying up to £36,000 + 25 Days Holiday, Private Healthcare, and other excellent benefits. Also, our client is easily commutable to with free parking.

To be considered for this role you will need to have current or previous CIS experience

Duties:

* Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Cash Book, Nominal Ledger posting

* Weekly and monthly wages

* Preparation and reconciliation of VAT Returns

* Payment of Subcontractors

* Reconciliation on a monthly basis of costs

* Maintaining cash flow forecasts for subcontractors

* Reconciliation of Bank Statements

* Payment of PAYE, NIC and S/C Tax to HMRC

* Reconciliation of PAYE, NIC and Subcontract tax

Candidate requirements:

* CIS experience is essential

* Confident in speaking to Suppliers and Customers to resolve problems, develop relationships, grow respect and trustworthiness

* Excellent accuracy skills

* Willingness to help other departments to resolve problems, provide information and to help them run more efficiently

* Open to new ideas and to try new methods to help streamline systems and produce more meaningful information
