Assistant Accountant

Salary: £42,000 – £45,600 per year

Our client is a growing medical devices business who is seeking to hire an Assistant Accountant. The Assistant Accountant role will suit a progressive ACCA/ ACA or CIMA studier who is looking to join a growing global medical devices business, there is clear progression to a Country Accountant role in time. The role will be broad and responsibilities will include:

Performing balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with profit and loss reporting

Performing month-end activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset accounting, taxation, etc

Managing intercompany transactions including dealing with multi-currency

Providing cover/assisting with the debtor’s collection and dealing with customer payment queries

Managing the Daily Cash flow, Monthly Bank Reconciliation and carrying out Supplier Recs/Payments

Preparing payments runs in line with payment terms.

Dealing with supplier statement queries.

Reviewing purchase ledger

Reconciliation of the sales ledger.

Posting of bank transaction and bank reconciliations.

Dealing with various queries and liaising with the Operations Managers for streamlining or improving processes.
