Due to my clients continued growth and expansion into different markets they in a position to appoint and Assistant Accountant. The successful candidate will play a key role in performing various activities, including validating and monitoring supplier invoices ensuring the accuracy of reconciliation information and a large amount of complex reporting
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide analysis, validation and ensure accurate reconciliation of volumes
• Conduct variance analysis between billed and actual volumes
• Recover adverse volume variances from industry or customer Billing
• Ensure accurate settlement of daily metered sites
• Production of monthly reporting
• Assist in reviewing the performance of customer contracts
• Assisting with the recovery of gross margin costs
• To aid in the development of spreadsheet models to assist with the validation process
• Liaise with internal and external parties to recover any adverse costs incurred
• Assist with the documentation of Processes
Skills & Competencies
• Able to quickly understand business issues and data challenges
• Self-starter/able to work with limited guidance
• Team-player with ability to achieve results through collaborative working
• Able to meet challenging deadlines
• Strong communication skills i.e. written, verbal and presentation
• Strong Numerical skills
Experience• Strong IT skills especially Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, links to external databases) and Microsoft Access
• Experience of Working within a similar Environment with experience in the above
The right candidate will also have a strong education with potentially some finance qualifications
