Asd / Semh – SEND Primary Support – Kensington

Salary: £26,000 per year

This lovely, family-feel school are looking for this SEND TA to work 1:1 with a Year 3 male pupil, with ASD, SEMH and challenging behaviour (Social Emotional Mental Health) he is a very bright boy and learns at the year 4 and 5 curriculum, but he needs that extra emotional side of the support. He is very clever can access all the curriculum but has some behaviour issues, he needs support to focus and as his support you will be required to spot his meltdown moments. He is not physical but can use inappropriate language when frustrated.

This school really focuses on academic achievement and does expect a lot from their learners so this role would be perfect for someone who shares this same vision. This is a full-time and long-term role and if the match is right you could support this pupil throughout her whole school life.

The ideal candidate must:

Be available 5 days a week
Have previous experience with autism, SEMH, Challenging Behaviour
Be passionate about education
Have previous experience with KS1
Hold a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
positive approach to emotional support
