SC Education Recruitment is looking to recruit a SEND Support Worker. This role is in the Wakefield area, it is full time and is a continuously ongoing contract. There is also the option of direct employment after 10 weeks for those who would like a permanent contract.

We are looking for someone who has a nurturing personality and is passionate about supporting students education and life skill development. You will be supporting students aged 16-25 with gardening, looking after farm animals, textiles, crafting, key skills lessons, and promoting independence.

The successful candidate must have:

* A minimum of 1 year experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities including DYX, ASD, SEMH, MLD, and ADHD

* A can-do attitude and be willing to support indoors and outdoors whatever the weather

* Excellent communication skills

* A non-judgmental approach and the ability to stay calm when faced with challenging behaviours

* A genuine passion to work with young people

* A Team Teach qualification would be desirable but not essential
