The Area Sales Manager Role:
We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our team to sell, grow and manage a team selling, profitable and appropriate low energy solutions to owner occupiers and private landlords. The successful candidate will manage the householder journey from initial lead generation / contact through to signed contract and provide an additional point of contact, if needed, during the installation and completion phase. The role will focus on the M62 corridor and would suit someone with a strong retail sales background – preferably in energy sector – with the ability to train to become an assessor.

Key Responsibilities:
- Development of local area marketing initiatives and agreed sales plan for each geographical area
- Support the development of the sales process including appropriate checklists; KPI’s; CRM and sales literature
- Support the development and delivery of sales training
- Delivery of lead generation initiatives
- Prepared to undertake home energy assessments (EPC, GD, WD Whole house) as necessary
- Prepare and present initial and refined proposals to householders
- Introduce funding as appropriate and in compliance with WD procedures and the CCA
- Provide behavioural energy training to householders
- Good level of verbal communication skills and networking.
- Presenting to all levels of seniority from individuals to meetings.
- Delivering opportunities into a sales pipeline.
Good understanding of:
- householders needs and motivations;
- typical low energy solutions;
- subsidy and financing options available (desirable).
Essential skills:
- an energetic self-starter who is resilient to setbacks
- ability to reflect regularly on own experiences and performance, and constantly seek to improve
- ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- rapidly develop a warm rapport with a wide range of householders
- Proven sales record (even if in different industry)
- Lead from the front, setting an example, delivering as well as managing
- Willingness to undertake regular travel as role mainly field based
