AREA SALES MANAGER – MENS, WOMENS, KIDS & PERFORMANCE DIVISIONS

LOCATION: SOUTH/WEST

An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Services Administrator to join our Customer Services Team at the UK Head Office in Potters Bar.

We are looking for a self-driven and focussed individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

This is an extremely challenging role in which you will help to deliver an exceptional level of service to our valued customers.

Job Purpose

To achieve yearly targets of sales based on margin, inventory and key drivers whilst displaying a sound business acumen and understanding of the accounts business and their needs.

Implement the accounts marketing specific plan in conjunction with Global Concepts and customer needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Increase and maintain a sales presence in key retailers.
  • Identify and open new accounts whilst working within the distribution strategy.
  • Gain access to towns with little or no exposure to the product.
  • Identify other brand stockists lists.
  • Work according to season to increase daily business.
  • Have an awareness of distribution strategy and associated credit control and risk.
  • Ensure the core product is placed with all customers.
  • Learn, understand and follow the basic elements of the job role.
  • Use weekly buy, adopted and drop reports.
  • Focus on and drive key categories.
  • Organise, maintain and manage footwear samples.
  • Accept direction from management and learn how to apply to your areas of work.
  • Take part in business reviews for all quarterly sales meetings.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports.
  • Carry out in-store and retail visits.
  • Submit 5 weekly movement plans.
  • Follow up on all customer calls and visits.
  • Maintain excellent communication with all key departments.
  • Ensure regular contact with Line Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Work within company policy and guidelines.
  • Keep photographic records of in-store displays.
  • Become involved with Marketing to develop account plans.
  • Work in advance to pre-sell product supported by marketing.
  • Investigate best use of points of purchase (POP) and co-op campaigns to drive sales in and out of store.
  • Ensure POP is placed and used by retailers.
  • Work in line with the finance team to ensure the order book can be delivered.
  • Identify and report areas of risk amongst account base early.
  • Ensure all new account documentation is completed correctly, in full and signed.
  • Regular meetings to be held with Credit Control to ensure accounts are running smoothly.
  • Maintain regular contact with the Customer Service Representative.
  • Respond to queries from Customer Services in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate personal working methods, professional relationships and performance.
  • Work with Line Manager to improve and implement changes needed.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Wholesale/Retail/Apparel/Footwear experience. Also a proven track record in Managing large accounts in this sector.
