e-ppl Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Analysis Engineer to join our team in a contract-based position. As an Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and providing technical expertise to support product development and improvement.

This position is for an Analysis Engineer, specialising in Driver Assist System (DAS) vehicle content for 12 months commencing 1st January 2024.

Scope

A Whole Vehicle (Verification & Validation) Analysis Engineer providing Driver Assist System (DAS) vehicle evaluation and testing of pre-series vehicles in static and dynamic condition for customers focussed evaluation. The scope of this role includes:

• Analysis and reporting of functional defects identified during the reliability testing process

• Defining vehicle technical requirement and test profiles

• Defining test methodology appropriate to identifying functional product defects in pre-series vehicles

Competitive rates depending on experience between £34.00 and £38.00 per hour

Paid via limited company (OUTSIDE IR35) or umbrella company.

Tasks

Analysis of issues and verification of solutions

• Respond to issues raised by reliability testing stations via the Quality Whole Vehicle system ALPOS, to understand and compile a problem statement, to determine probable point of cause and to assess the issue for escalation / allocation to an appropriate problem owner via KPM.

• Interpret, analyse and summarise logged traces of complex vehicle bus data to enable robust functional problem statements prior to allocating to problem owner via KPM

• Proactively monitor the status of reliability issues reported in KPM’s and ensure solutions are adequately verified to enable closure.

• Escalate / prioritise issues with potential high customer / warranty impact within functions and forums to Board level.

• Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills

• Effective presentation and communication of technical problems to all levels up to Members of the Board

• Excellent team working and influencing skills using data.

• Willingness to be flexible to meet frequently changing priorities

• Ability to lead complex problem-solving teams

• Ability to influence problem owners and suppliers within the VW Group within area of technical responsibility

• Advanced knowledge of vehicle development and industrialisation within area of specialism

• Able to apply knowledge of customer behaviour and expectations to develop vehicle test requirements

• Able to gather and interrogate vehicle electrical network data to identify problem root cause

• Proficient understanding of Product Emergence Process

 

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent.

• Associate membership of a relevant professional institution preferable.

• Current driving licence.
