Senior Data Analysis and Modelling Engineer

Our business is built on delivery of sizeable projects for our customers. These projects can range in value from tens of thousands to many tens of millions. A robust process analysing the viability for these projects and the development of the concept from this, is therefore a vital part of our sales process and therefore our business growth.

We are currently recruiting a Senior Data Analysis and Simulation Modelling Engineer, keen to take on a management role within this business critical function.

Main purpose of the role:
To manage, lead & train the team in the area of Data and Concepting which will provide Data Analysis support to the sales team for project sales team & to work as part of the sales solutions development management team.

Key responsibilities:
• Leading developing and motivate the direct reports in Data Analysis activities
• Providing a service via direct reports in the areas of,data analysis, manning calculations, concepting, solutions development, ROI calculations
• Provide the key business outputs of, customer data validation, unit load definition, sizing, concept validation and material flow diagrams
• Challenge project costs, timescales and technologies to make sure lean and workable standardised solutions are developed
• Review/audit pre contract offers to ensure the quality of the design and the robust nature of the offering.
• Review the critical/technical aspects of the offer document (design, throughputs, productivity calculations, unit loads etc) before they are submitted to the customer
• Participate in the Bid / No bid Process for all projects
• Where required present the company to customers in line with the company image
• When/where required provide direct consultancy for customers

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced simulation and data modelling manager / engineer (ideally automation projects). You will have stong data analysis skills, concepting skills with a focus on real life solutions to customers requirements, with an ability to develop practical, cost effective, solutions which can be sold to customers with demonstrable benefits, finally you will be comfortable delivering presentations to/interacting with customers at different levels within a business structure (Operators, Maintenance Engineers, Buyers, CEO’s etc). Above all you will have the passion and enthusiasm to drive a complex project process forward.
