AIT Mechanical Satellite Engineer vn 6528 an initial 6 months contract at market rate
Qualifications and Skills
HNC or equivalent in a related mechanical engineering field
Experience in spacecraft/satellite level
Ability to use production software such as SAP
Good level of documentation skills
Previous Experience.
Satellite/spacecraft level experience in AIT within Telecoms or ENS fields.
Experience of lifting spacecraft and handling of associated MGSE
Experience of test campaigns is highly desirable.
Ability to generate and control procedures and activity control sheets
Managing a team during day-to-day activities ensuring work is completed on time and the correct standard.
Alignment experience is desirable.

Outline Job Description
Become part of a team to perform mechanical integration and support test and launch campaigns in the UK and overseas. The role will include, but not be restricted to:

Integration and handling of flight and non-flight hardware and subsystems associated with spacecraft platforms and payloads. This will also include spacecraft lifting and MGSE and prepare and carry out environmental tests (vibration, Acoustic, Mass Properties, and Thermal) at unit, subsystem, instruments and spacecraft level.
