MCORP-RS Consultancy

Our Local Government client based in South West London is recruiting an Administrative Officer – Safeguarding Team: To provide a comprehensive administrative support service for Service including the servicing of Board meetings, Sub Group Meetings, Child Protection Conferences, Secure panel review and strategy meetings.  Will be required to travel occasionally to service these meetings which are held in other establishments both within and outside the area. 

Education – Essential
NVQ Intermediate/NVQ Level 2 (to include English) or equivalent qualifications

Skills, Knowledge & Experience – Essentials
Ability to take detailed minutes of complex multi-agency discussions at child protection conferences or strategy meetings
Ability to deal with issues which are sensitive in nature
Ability to receive and deal with complex child protection enquiries
Ability to assist in the maintenance of the list of children subject to a Child Protection Plan.
Ability to assist in maintaining the Missing Children’s Register.
Ability to assist in providing management information and statistics relating to the Children subject to Child Protection Plan.
Ability to do minuting within agreed time scales and Child Protection Procedures. 
Able to comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act with regard to information management.
Able to manage all office records and filing systems (electronic and manual)
Able to take responsibility for planning, managing and prioritising own workload
Proven standard of minuting/report writing skills and accuracy. 
Proven level of both written and spoken English is essential.
Advanced knowledge of Frameworki electronic system
Know of the 6 principles of data quality ensuring accurate data for performance and reporting purposes.
Experience of process all documentation including invitations to conferences, Child Protection Plan
Experience of providing business support to the Chairs of the conferences.
Experience of assisting in carrying out checks on people who are ‘Risk to Children’ and updating their records.
Enhanced / Standard DBS Disclosure within the last 12 months
Understanding and commitment to the Equal Opportunities policy
