Salary: £28,865 – £33,422 per year

Administration Assistant, Resourcing and Development – Fixed Term until 31 March 2023

  • Salary and Grade: 3, £28,865 – £33,422per annum
  • Hours – up to 37 per week (we can be flexible), Monday-Friday
  • Location – Service Headquarters, Calcot, Reading
  • Excellent annual leave allowance of 24 days and Flexible Working Hours
  • Pension Scheme available
  • Fixed term until 31 March 2023
  • Onsite gym and parking facilities

About the role

At Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) we are seeking an organised and approachable person to join our Resourcing and Development team.

The successful applicant will provide administration support collating data, accurately maintaining records, producing reports and correspondence, organising and planning of activities and events which will contribute to and assist the learning and development of our people.

If you are an attentive individual with great communication skills, who can effectively build relationships at all levels, whilst delivering an effective customer focused service we would be keen to hear from you.

The key focus of the Resourcing and Development team:

The Resourcing and Development team deliver recruitment and promotion processes and administrate training and development courses and programmes. This includes planning, organising, monitoring and evaluating training and development delivery.

Key role requirements (knowledge, skills and experience):

  • Good interpersonal skills Able to engage with people at all levels, developing effective working relationships
  • Good IT skills (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, database) Good organisational skills – able to plan, manage priorities and deadlines
  • Proven administration / office experience
