Accounts & Treasury Assistant

Salary: £30,000 – £32,400 per year

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working in partnership with a reputable organisation based in Chesterfield as they look to appoint a dedicated Accounts & Treasury Assistant to their growing finance team. This role is full time home working, however the successful candidate must be able to commute to Chesterfield to work in the office around 2 days per month.

This is a a rare and exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable individual to join a supportive and friendly finance function to provide extensive support across a range of duties covering complex bank reconciliations, sales ledger invoicing, credit control duties, statement reconciliations and all relevant reporting. You will be fully trained and supported by an excellent team who really value their staff and look after their employees.

Duties of the Accounts & Treasury Assistant will include (but are not limited to):

* Multi-currency daily bank reconciliations, for multiple companies
* Setting up and management of all company payments, bank account changes, ensuring payments are authorised in a timely manner
* Posting bank payments, including posting inter-company transactions
* Processing and payment of cash expenses and credit card statements, checking receipts and posting costing journals
* Management and issuing of vouchers
* Completion of SECR report

Person specification:

* At least 1 years’ experience within a similar role
* Excellent advanced excel skills, including good knowledge of using pivot table, lookups, sumifs
* Strong technical accounting understanding
* Dynamic, proactive attitude and a desire to improve working practices
* Pride in accuracy and attention to detail in complex financial issues
* Excellent communication skills
