JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Assistant

REPORTING TO: Financial Reporting Manager

DURATION: Permanent

Based in central London, my client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payables Assistant to support the finance team. You will be part of a dynamic, ambitious and friendly team and will provide support to the Financial Reporting Manager and the wider team.

You must have at least 5 years’ experience of working within a finance team, working within an Accounts Payables function.

Duties include the following:

  • Matching and coding overhead, supplier invoices
  • Maintaining the PO system and querying inaccuracies
  • Obtaining authorisation for payment
  • Processing payment runs via BACS
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing expense claims
  • Posting pre-payments and accruals
  • Ad hoc financial duties

Person Specification:

  • Must have a minimum 5 years prior Purchase Ledger experience
  • Quick learner with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Good Excel skills with knowledge of using Shipnet preferable but not essential
  • Immediately available or on 2 weeks notice
