Our client, based in Hartlepool, is seeking an experienced accounts assistant with strong payroll experience to join their busy finance team on a full time permanent basis.
Duties will include:

Inputting and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls using sage

Dealing with employees time sheets
-
Processing of all company expenses
-
Processing and calculating ssp, smp, ni etc
-
Resolving all payroll queries in a professional and timely manor

Weekly payments runs
-
Bank reconciliation
-
Journal preparation
-
Matching and chasing purchase orders
-
Inputting/ processing invoices
-
Dealing with invoice queries
-
Assisting with nominal ledger coding
-
Allocating receipts onto the sales ledger
-
Chasing payments by telephone and sending reminder letters
- Ad-hoc duties as required within the accounts department
