Position Overview:

As a key member of the Accounting team, the General Ledger Accountant for the countries group will play an important role in the preparation of the monthly accounts, by accurate maintenance of the ledgers mainly for Russia and Ukraine. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Management of day to day accounting mainly for Russia and Ukraine
• Ensure that General Ledger entries are properly recorded in line with the accounting standards and ensure that local accounting standards can be accommodated
• Reconciliations of the local accounting records to the US GAAP account
• Monthly accounts are closed in line with the global timetable and comprehensive reconciliations are produced for all the Balance Sheet accounts.
• Preparation and review of the month end accounts with the manager, in line with the global timetable.
• Assist in all financial audits and preparation of the reconciliations from US GAAP management accounts to the local statutory accounts.
• Fixed Asset maintenance and reconciliations
• VAT reconciliations with the local accounting

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed you will be part qualified ACCA/CIMA or have relevant experience and proven track record in a Financial Accounting position. You will have accounting experience in a multi-currency environment. You will speak and write fluent Russian and ideally you will also speak Ukrainian. You will have experience using 1C Accounting. In addition you must have strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability work effectively within a fast paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential.
