Camping and Caravanning Club

Salary: £37,200 – £42,000 per year

The Camping and Caravanning Club is a not-for-profit organisation, which means that every penny spent with us is invested back into improving facilities and services for our members.

Our Finance team is made up of 14 talented staff members, who are vital to the smooth running of the organisation and we are currently recruiting for an experienced Accountant to join the team.

The successful candidate will support the Head of Finance and work collaboratively with the finance team, ensuring a coordinated approach to delivering financial and management information to the business.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To take responsibility for a professional ‘customer service’ focused approach to the organisation
  • To take responsibility for the preparation of timely and accurate financial and management information for the Club
  • To provide financial support to, and liaise with, managers and budget holders
  • To contribute to preparation of the financial statements, including liaising with auditors and tax advisors
  • To contribute to the production of the annual budget and assisting with updating forecasts throughout the year
  • To support with the Club’s cash flow management and investigate variances between actual cash flow and forecast cash flow
  • To prepare and submit the quarterly VAT return for the Club, ensuring any VAT payments are made promptly to HMRC
  • To provide accounting oversight to the Club’s Unit Support function including both VAT and year-end reconciliations
  • To provide support, as required, to the Head of Finance

We’re looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Professional Accountancy Qualification
  • Experience of providing monthly and annual financial and management information
  • Excellent customer facing, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent standard of verbal and written communication
  • Friendly and team orientated
