Accountant

Accountant – Brighton – £25,000 – £30,000 pro rata – 6 month FTC. The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a successful accountancy practice to assist them in their search for an experienced Accountant to join their team for an initial 6 month fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will have prior experience working in a practice organisation and will be a Part-Qualified ACCA finalist or recently ACCA Qualified (candidates qualified by experience are also encouraged to apply).

You will be responsible for managing the accounts for limited companies, sole traders and SMEs including completing year-end accounts and Corporation Tax computations. To be suitable you will have proven experience completing VAT returns, Company and Personal tax returns, payroll and Statutory Accounts. Experience providing Tax Advisory knowledge would also be desirable.

The role will focus on the management of a large number of client accounts and will need someone who is dedicated, thorough and very customer service oriented, with excellent communication skills. You must also have strong IT skills and feel confident with Excel, Word and email.

This is an immediate requirement for a 6 month fixed term contract however there is a possibility that this could become a permanent position.
