Eden Brown have an exciting opportunity to join a leading housing association in the Leeds area as an Account.

As an Accountant, you will Manage the production of monthly management accounts for Housing Association and its subsidiaries and business streams, including variance analysis. You will also work with business managers to support budgetary management and to enhance their understanding of the financial implications of their business decisions, with a particular focus on value for money.

Assist the Financial Performance Manager on value for money work across the Group, including benchmarking and support business managers in the production of annual budgets and in assessing the financial impact of new projects and ventures.

Support the Financial Performance Manager in the production of the annual statutory accounts, tax computations and other regulatory/statutory returns as well as supporting the Financial Performance Manager in the longer term planning for the group, subsidiaries and business streams.

Responsible for team of staff.

For this role as an Accountant, you must have a profession level accounting qualification, good knowledge and experience of management and financial accounting. You must also have excellent working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Packages as well as excellent communication skills.

Experience of working within in a similar role and for a housing association is not required however would be advantageous towards this role.

A full driving license and access to your own transport is essential for this role.

This is a 9 month contract for an Accountant to work in the Leeds area for a Housing Association. The rate of pay is £19.8PAYE – £20.15 LTD working Full time, 35 hours per hour, Monday to Friday.
