Account Opening Specialist

Metro Bank is growing and we’re looking for some amazing new colleagues who will lead and develop a “Centre of Excellence for Account Opening” managing key technical activity for our Customers.

You will sit in heart of our Customer Service Centre where you will provide support to all our Customers, Stakeholders and Colleagues across the full range of account opening ensuring that accounts are opening to the highest degree of customer satisfaction.

You will be confident in dealing with complex queries while splitting your time tasks where appropriate alongside managing core deliverables such as fulfilment of welcome packs and basic banking needs for customers.

This is what the job involves:

• How to prioritise and manage your daily workload in an ever changing environment from Regulatory, Operational and IT changes.
• BUMP Ups from stakeholders, Customers and internal colleagues.
• Resolving any service issue, processing challenges or customer EoDs, by taking ownership and implementing new ways to make things better for Customers – always looking for ways to Surprise & Delight!
• Resourcing challenges where volumes are unpredictable and planning and multitasking is essential.

• Strong understanding of Banking Operations processes and procedures
• Solid experience of process improvement and streamlining activity
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Good experience of managing Customer bump-up’s and escalations within Metro Bank
• Ability to build solid working relationships across Metro Bank in order to improve efficiency within Banking Operations
• Passionate about providing unparalleled levels of Customer service
• Evidence of progression and consistency in career to date
