Account Executive – PR – Croydon

Our client are a established PR agency and are looking to recruit a Account Executive to join the team.

Role:

Learning the ropes of B2B marketing communications leading to:

·Supporting Account Manager/ Director with day-to-day running of client accounts

·General administration including press clipping monitoring and measuring, diary management, scheduling of projects, time management etc

·Liaising with editors and journalists to seek out editorial opportunities and negotiate any editorial and costs involved

·Contributing to and running day-to-day social media activities

·Building positive, productive client relationships

·Assisting with organising and running events such as press conferences

·Liaising with in house and freelance writers

In due course:

·Taking briefs from the client and planning the workload in conjunction with Account Director

·Planning of feature articles and placing them in the press

·Briefing agency personnel (e.g. graphic designers, database team) on the client’s requirements

·Where required managing the production of client newsletters
Experience/Qualifications
·Preferably educated to degree level

·One to two years experience of a public relations or marketing communications environment either in-house as public relations assistant or agency as Junior Account Executive

·Proven client handling abilities

·Ability/willingness to learn and understand engineering, technology or technical subjects

·PC literate

·Able to receive and understand detailed project briefs

·Enthusiastic and willing to learn

·Great at communicating and with good social skills

·Self-motivating and able to work on own initiative

Salary: ·£27,600 – £32,400

·20 days holiday

·09.00-17.30 – 1 hour lunch
