My Client are a well established Security Services Consultancy based in a beautiful location in South Wales. They are seeking 3rd Line Network Support Engineers to join their expanding team at an exciting point in their growth.

The role is to provide second and third line support and escalation in our busy Secure Operations Centre, or remotely at customer sites as required. The Escalation team work on a split day shift system covering the hours 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday on a rotational basis.

Some weekend work will be required, as is out of hours callout, again on a rota basis.

The successful Network Support Engineer will have solid understanding of networking technologies, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, IP sub-netting, and will possess a good understanding of the 7 layer OSI model and associated protocols.

THE SUCCESSFUL NETWORK SUPPORT ENGINEER MUST HAVE CISCO ASA AND CHECKPOINT SKILLS.

Essential skills for the successful 3rd line network support engineer:

Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, to 3rd line level.
Excellent knowledge of Security products such as Bluecoat and McAfee.
In depth Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows Server, Windows XP, Windows 7) and application skills (MS Office suite) Linux based Operating Systems and applications experience Ability to work as part of a team or independently with minimum supervision
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing with customers and technical staff, as well as less technical colleagues
Must have an excellent understanding of all aspects of networking and firewalling security.
