This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior CAD/BIM Engineer to join an exciting and vibrant M&E Contractor.
As an experienced 3D CAD Revit/BIM Engineer you will provide effective management and production of engineering drawings of the highest standards, from inception/tender through to handover, and in so doing to meet the Company’s objectives in relation to service, profitability and the development of relationships with clients and trading partners.
In particular, to provide and facilitate 3D & 4D BIM including high quality rendering and animation: Primarily, for work winning presentations to demonstrate engineering solutions to clients and non-technical persons. Secondarily, for projects in construction to accurately translate engineering systems for construction and fabrication teams in a timely fashion.
The Role:
• Review tender documents, extract available information and develop schedule of information required for drawing purposes.
• Identify suitable opportunities for pre-fabrication and modularisation.
• Develop fully coordinated 3D models for traditional/pre-fabricated/modularised solutions in high value and heavily serviced areas.
• Utilise 4D BIM through animation and rendering packages to illustrate coordination, construction sequencing and site logistics
• Attend/lead coordination meetings with other contractors/designers.
• Liaise with the construction team to establish project needs.
• Coordinate services in 3D model and use to produce technical drawings for installation and pre-fabrication. Liaise with construction team to ensure information is accurate.
• Develop the record 3D model for the project. Update end sheets to reflect record information.
• Implement company procedures in a robust fashion but also challenge the status quo to ensure value is added at each stage of the process. Organise and maintain CAD servers and project records.
• Develop architectural and structural information where necessary, assist in the development of Junior CAD Engineers
