An enthusiastic Principal CAD / BIM Technician is required to support the expansion of the Civil and Structural Engineering team. This is a superb opportunity to work on a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects in different sectors including education, commercial, industrial, and waste sector.

Making a significant contribution to the day-to-day preparation and delivery of technical information, your responsibilities and duties will include although not be limited to;

* Liaising with other members of the design team (either internal or external)

* Liaising with contractors and answering queries in relation to technical detailing

* Continuing to develop and promote the BIM / Revit strategy within the business

* Structural detailing in steel, concrete, masonry and timber

* Structural detailing foundations / retaining structures and sub structures including reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling

* Visiting sites during construction works

* Liaising with the Design Engineers and co-ordinating the CAD / Revit detailing on each project

* Ensuring the quality procedures are adhered to and followed by the CAD / Revit team

* Supervising the CAD Technicians on technical / construction details and undertake QA reviews

* Mentoring and assisting junior staff

* Complying with designers duties under the CDM Regulations

To be considered for this Principal CAD / Revit Technician role you will have the following experience, skills, knowledge and attributes;

* A minimum HNC civil engineering or equivalent

* Proven post-qualification experience in civil / structural engineering, with a solid foundation of which gained within a similar engineering role

* Detailed knowledge of structural detailing and construction techniques

* Working knowledge of relevant UK and European codes of practice

* Good experience of using AutoCAD and /or Revit software

* Client focused approach with good interpersonal and communication skills

* Ambition, with a positive and proactive approach to work

* Ability to supervise and develop a team, whilst working as part of a wider team

* Strong attention to detail

* Commercial awareness

* UK driving licence and own transport

* Computer skills and use of Word, Excel and software packages

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

Salary: £33,600 – £42,000 plus car allowance

Other Benefits: Potential to become a shareholder after 12 months service. 25 days annual leave plus statutory leave. Pension, private medical cover, and death in service scheme after qualifying period.
