Our client is currently recruiting for 2 Internal Sales Account Managers to start work immediately in the Teesside Area.

Job Purpose:-

  • Working as a member of the Internal Sales team you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of multiple accounts with the aim of increasing revenue growth and where appropriate graduating accounts to the external sales team.
  • Communication with account personnel will be made through all available tools including web conferencing and video conferencing as well as the more traditional telephone, email and mail methods.
  • A strong team ethic is essential to facilitate a powerful working relationship between all departments:- Customer Services, Sales, Technical and Finance.
  • As the primary account manager you will provide a variety of services and solutions across all levels of contact.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Management of a portfolio of accounts – plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact with the aim of meeting specific agreed goals in line with the company’s sales targets and objectives.
  • Plan and manage the account portfolio in line with the company’s strategic plan regarding focused products and initiatives.
  • Maintain and develop existing customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan account coverage in the most effective and economical manner and report on these activities to ensure that the company’s recognised standard of performance is met.
  • Use all available tools and systems to ensure accurate, up to date information is recorded and available as appropriate.
  • Provide market and competitive information to members of the business development team.
  • To liaise with other departments with a view to creating appropriate and professional relationships to ensure compliance to the company’s aims and to promote excellence in communications.
  • Liaise with management and external account managers to create events for an account as and when appropriate.
  • To undertake personal development with a professionalism and enthusiasm commensurate with the company’s philosophy.
  • Participate in and actively pursue other activities as and when directed

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience in customer service / account management/ multi-level communications
  • Technical Aptitude
  • Education: Minimum A Level

Preferred:

  • A Level/Degree in a relevant topic (communications, business development, marketing, etc.)

  • Self -starter and team player
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels
  • Capability to work with a range of sales and marketing tools
  • Strong use of various I.T. and technical resources

Preferred

  • Currently active in customer service/customer development.
  • Track record of personal development
  • Proven ability to initiate, control and monitor customer activity

Skill/Knowledge

  • Strong communication skills with effective planning and organisational abilities.
