2nd Line IT Analyst

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

We have an exciting opportunity available for a 2nd Line IT Analyst to join our client a leading Food Manufacturer within their existing team based in Birmingham.

Job Title: 2nd Line IT Analyst
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to 35,000 DOE

Duties:

Support SLA delivery for Incident Management and request fulfilment through provision of second line support.
Completion of improvement actions for any IT services with support and guidance if necessary.
Proactively identify further opportunities within the IT services framework for improvement
Identify and share best practice and contribute to raising awareness, improving performance and transitioning to a “pro-active” culture.
Provide training and support documentation to service desk personnel where incidents can be resolved by first line
Produce deliverables / documentation in a timely manner and ensure they are maintained.

Contribute to the ‘out of hours’ support programme within the team.

Essential Skills:

The ideal candidate will ideally be educated to Degree or Vocational qualification level in a relevant discipline and have strong communication skills.

You will be a competent user of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Cloud and End User Compute services and have experience of supporting servers and users within Active Directory and Azure Active Directory domains.

You will be self-motivated with a desire to provide excellent IT support along with the ability to independently research problems and arrive at a solution. And ideally have commercial experience working within an FCMG environment.

An excellent understanding of Windows desktop operating systems and knowledge of windows distribution server for re-imaging of desktop machines is essential along with excellent knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.

ITIL v3/4 and Prince2 foundation level qualifications would be highly desirable.
