Our client is an established and fast growing IT services provider based South of Bristol in an attractive area to live. Our client requires experienced engineers and there are two positions currently available. Position: 2nd & 3rd line IT Support Engineer / IT Consultant – 2 positions available
Location: Frome, Somerset
Salary: £24,000 and £33,600 dependent on experience

ROLE:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 2nd / 3rd Line IT Support / Network Infrastructure / Support Engineer to join a highly motivated and dynamic team in a long standing and rapidly expanding IT support company based in Frome, Somerset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for providing IT support, troubleshooting and installations both over the phone and face to face on client sites (Pool vehicle provided).
• Windows Server and network installations at client sites
• Providing a high level of customer service to a wide range of users, including those with minimal IT knowledge
• Liaison with 3rd party software vendors where required

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange Server (2003 – 2012)
• Experience of Microsoft Application Support (such as Microsoft Office Suite)
• Experience of Microsoft Terminal Services / Remote Desktop Services
• Strong working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP-IP) and security, firewalls, DNS, SMTP, DHCP and VPN etc.
• Knowledge of Active Directory Management
• Experience of Server Hardware
• Desktop, Laptop & Printer Installs and troubleshooting
• Anti-Virus solutions experience
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work well singly or in teams on client sites.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience within an IT Support role either internally, or for an IT support organisation.
• Microsoft certification or qualifications.
• VMWARE certification, qualifications or working experience
