1-2-1 Children’s Support Worker

Capita Social Care Resourcing are currently recruiting for a team of Children’s Support Workers to work with young people in leaving care in Gateshead.

These roles are required urgently for immediate starts.

You will be required to work on a 1-2-1 basis with young adults and children aged 16+ who live in there own accommodation. These young people are leaving care and may have challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties, a history of domestic violence, substance misuse or mental health.

The Main duties include:

*General support with living independently
*Helping with budgeting, shopping, finding employment
*Assisting with life skills training, making appointments
*Emotional behavioural support

These roles are approximately 30 hours per week, and it is essential that you are car driver as you will be required to travel between locations across the area.

The successful Candidate will have

a current clear CRB dated within the last 12 months
Have an NVQ3 in Social Care children and Young people
Child Protection training
12 months minimum experience in a similar role
To be able to provide at least two satisfactory references

To be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the Uk
To be available immediately
