Project Manager

We are looking to recruit an experienced construction Project Manager to be based in the North West region for a permanent position due to a sustained increase in workload.

Our client is a Principle Contractor in the region with projects ranging to £15 million, across a number of sectors with more recent works including Education, Health, Public Sector, Retail, Leisure and Commercial build schemes.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading project site teams within the construction industry and have extensive experience of design and build projects valued in excess of £5 million up to £10 million.

Excellent communication skills will be key as you will be liaising across all levels with design managers, preconstruction managers, sub contractors and end-users.

Projects will be on a design and build / traditional basis for both new build and refurbishment schemes.

You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent, hold industry recognised qualifications such as SMSTS / CSCS and have experience at a similar level or be looking to take the next step on the career ladder.

CITB Level 3 Safety Course (essential);
Appropriate CSCS Card (essential);
Experience as a Project Manager or Number 1 on projects (essential);
Experience in Pre-Construction activities (essential);
Experience on Project up to £10M (desirable)
Understanding of Building Regulations (desirable)
Understanding of relevant British Standards (desirable)
Understanding of HTM’s/HBN’s (desirable)
Good Presentation Skills (desirable)
Degree (or equivalent) in appropriate subject (desirable);
Professional Qualification (desirable);
Experience on healthcare projects (desirable);
Experience on education projects (desirable);
Experience working on Frameworks (desirable);
Experience in winning work (desirable).
