Project Engineer / Project Manager
Working across multiple sites, our client is currently seeking a Project Engineer / Project Manager to join their team. This is a truly amazing opportunity to join this thriving market leader during a period of growth.

Job purpose:

This exciting office or home based opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager to join the team.

The role will include surveying a wide range of lift installations (training provided where appropriate), anticipating site problems, ensuring smooth trouble-free installation and ensuring that completed work complies with relevant legislations. You will work closely with the customer, office based operations and installation teams, to make sure products are installed correctly and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Site Surveys (training provided) and Pre Installation Checks – in line with dates issued by the Operations Schedule. Arranging and undertaking site surveys and pre installation checks in sufficient time to allow the customers builder/main contractor to complete any work prior to the scheduled arrival of the installation engineers.

* Working with internal cad operators and lift schedulers making sure the correct information is recorded and documented. Working closely with internal staff and manufacturers.

* Reviewing relevant site-specific drawings with customer to ensure it meets specification and on site installation requirements.

* Completion of a ‘Site Survey Report’. Identifying any action points to be discussed and explained to the builder/main contractor/site representative, together with any agreed timeframes for completion.

* Complying to any site specific Health and Safety requirements (in addition to those contained within the company Health and Safety policy), at all times.

* Attending relevant training and development sessions/courses in order to further develop knowledge and skills. This may include attending various lift installations.

* Offering a high level of advice to customers and /or their site representatives, as well as fellow colleagues within the business.

* Completing and submitting monthly expenses and VAT receipts.

* Working safely at all times, and that you do not put yourself or other people at risk as a result of anything you do – either whilst working at the office or on a customer’s site.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Must hold a full driving licence.

* Be prepared to work towards the achievement of a suitable NVQ as and when identified by the business.

* Must hold a current CSCS card (‘Skilled Worker’ status).

* Be prepared to work towards the achievement of a current SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) card.

General:

* Must have previous project engineer / project manager experience

* Ensure that you carry out your project engineer / project manager responsibilities in a safe and proper manner both for yourself and for th wellbeing of others.

* Cooperate in all matters of health an d safety, and ensure that in anything you do you aim to protect the environment.

* Ensure that a high standard of quality, delivery of service and customer care is achieved at all times
