Salary: £48,000 – £50,400 per year

Our client is currently seeking an experienced National Training Manager whose role will be to identify the training and development needs of their client. You will be required to design and implement the bespoke training and development programs in response to drive performance. Your remit covers all roles and all channels to market.

Main Duties

• Identify training needs by role within the existing field establishment by (for example but not solely) working closely with each Account Director and Channel Head, analyzing performance results and trends, observing behavior in field and pro-actively seeking feedback
• Design bespoke training and development programs in response, both for your own delivery and for delivery via the existing field management structure
• Own our ‘Shining Stars’ development program: planning each session, designing and delivering modules, working with group mentors to develop their candidates
• Enhance existing induction programs – both ongoing (year round) and at times of wider team expansion (typically for the start of session 1 each year)
• Deliver structured sales training courses to all new starters
• Deliver management training and coaching sessions on a sessional basis
• Develop our on line training tool to include:

 Induction training
 Skills gap training
 Briefing of more complex ad hoc requirements and activities
 Health & Safety compliance

Key Skills

• Current experience of working in a training role with a large field sales or national accounts team
• Previous experience of working with a development academy for ‘stars of the future’
• Extensive knowledge of the UK retail markets: Grocery Multiples, Convenience Channel, Independents, Cash & Carry, Foodservice
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Able to communicate at all levels face-to-face, by telephone and in writing.
• Able to express ideas and views persuasively, clearly and concisely.
• Adaptable to the needs and requirements of the business and clients
• Able to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively
• Proficient across all Microsoft Office packages

Previous experience of working within the FMCG sector
Lives within commutable distance of Thame and Watford
