Team Leader

Salary: £39,000 per year

Location – Reading, RG7 4JF

Hours – 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 6am – 2.30pm

Some Bank Holiday working may be required.

1 in 3 weeks you may be required to work 8am 4.30pm

What will you be doing?

• Assist the Collections Supervisors and Management team in achieving successful delivery of the waste collections service
• Assist with the booking of staff in/out, training of staff and liaising with the client waste officers
• Assist in the management and control of sickness/absence levels
• Ensure that the fleet is kept clean, to investigate any accidents/damage
• Understand and operate all operational software systems for service and vehicle compliance, as well as safety reporting
• Proactively engage with staff across the contract, promote outlets/forums e.g H&S
• meetings etc and actively participate

What are we looking for?

• Operational knowledge including vehicle and equipment maintenance
• Knowledge of Health and safety legislation
• Good IT skills
• LGV licence (Class C)
• Driver CPC
• Have an understanding Fleet and traffic compliance
