Paralegal

Salary: £26,400 – £30,000 per year

Paralegal – Social Housing – Norwich (Ipswich will be considered provided regular travel to Norwich office)

A leading team within a Top100 firm are recruiting for a highly experienced Paralegal to run their own caseload. This is a varied role within a team that acts for the Region’s major Housing Associations and a number of Local Authorities.

Strong legal experience is essential for this role, ideally in residential conveyancing or dealing with high volume caseloads.

Tasks will include:

• Running own caseload of single unit disposals and acquisitions including shared ownership sales and right to buy sales
• Obtaining title documents from the Land Registry Portal
• Carrying out searches and pre-completion searches
• Providing progress reports to supervisor and to clients and intermediaries
• Providing cover and support to other paralegals within the team as and when required
• Assisting with technical drafting and approval of infrastructure deeds
• Co-ordinating and dealing with ad-hoc queries from clients
• To assist team members with site acquisitions and related transactions
• To prepare SDLT Returns
• Preparing Land Registry applications and finalising registrations
• Researching specific legal topics when requested and carrying out title investigations

Skills and Experience:

• Proven IT/typing skills; good/Advanced knowledge of Excel and Word
• Legal experience is required, ideally in residential conveyancing or dealing with high volume caseloads. 
• Enthusiastic with the ability to hit the ground running 
• A flexible, highly motivated, proactive and ‘can do’ working style;
• Good organisation and communication skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
