Area Sales Manager

Profile
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
+ Expand existing business by assessing new and existing market potential, thus developing the area to ensure long term growth of order income. Main focus will be on Process markets including Chemical, Oil & Gas, Energy & Water
+ ‘Team Work’ with other sales personnel to ensure that order potential is maximised.
+ Promote the company’s image and interests by way of professional diligence and expertise.
+ Provide technical, commercial and applicational support and assistance to new and existing customers.
+ Obtain enquires and follow-up quotations, and in certain cases, prepare quotations.
+ Maintain close working relations with the Business Units and the Instrumentation Alliance Partners to maximise business potential.
+ Prepare product/customer budgets for the area and develop a business plan to achieve them.
+ Submit a monthly order forecast and maintain a live Prospect List.
+ Update and maintain the company’s project pursuit tools and customer information databases (ProSales, ACT)
+ Monitor and provide market intelligence on current trends and competitor activity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
+ Experience working within the Chemical, Oil and Gas or Energy industries.
+ Proven Sales Record

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
+ Technical Qualification

Salary:
Circa £40,000 plus bonus and benefits
