Interim Financial Accountant

Salary: £42,000 – £45,600 per year

Temporary Maternity Cover Contract

My client is a large, multinational corporate Group company, based in the Falkirk area. They have an immediate requirement for an experienced Financial Accountant to join them on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparation of tax returns for CIT and VAT purposes
Manage the accruals for goods and services at the monthly closing date
Monthly reconciliation of the payroll and the relevant entries for payroll and social contributions
Manage the accounting records relating to company’s assets
Prepare Intrastat and IntraEU forms and the statistics required
Capitalisation of Fixed Assets once approved by Group
Responsible for Fixed Costs section of Income Statement
Prepares the Balance Sheet other than Inventory

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following experience:

of financial &/or management accounting within a large multinational Group company
Advanced MS Excel skills, this should include creating and using Pivot Tables including Grand Totals, and various formulae- (sumifs, vlookup, hlookup) able to sort and present large tables of data using filters etc.
Experience of using SAP modules for General Ledger; Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable; Treasury and Fixed Assets and should be comfortable with the creation and use of Variants to create and extract data from SAP to Excel.
Experience of Group reporting online tools, specifically Hyperion would be advantageous
