Financial Accountant – 12 Month Contract

Elevation Senior Finance are currently looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on behalf of a major organisation based in Leeds on a Fixed term contract of 12 months.

Reporting to the Financial Director you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s ledgers, whilst being in full control of the balance sheet. You will be a key contact for the external auditors and provide accounting support to the subsidiaries covering reporting, controls and compliance.

Key Responsibilities will include:

*Ensuring compliance with Financial Reporting Standards
*Ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations including statutory accounts and HMRC compliance
*Acquisitions integration including Fixed assets
*Group Insurances, leases and legal
*Corporation Tax Compliance
*Design internal controls and further enhance compliance
*Group insurances, leases and legal
*VAT return/P11D/P46/Intrastat/EC Sales/PSA declarations and accounting
*Fixed asset register and integration of acquisitions
*Balance Sheet Reconciliations
*Integration process of all acquisitions
*Preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant with a professional practice background backed up with at least one year’s experience within an industry based technical accounting role.
