We are currently looking for an Interim Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join us on a three month fixed-term contract.

The Role

As the Interim Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for organising the movement and storage of all stock and materials, both in-house and externally.
 
In this important role, you will work alongside the Materials Co-ordinator to ensure the correct stock is delivered; internally, to sub-contractors and to customers.
 
Your role will involve stock management elements, people management and leaderships within the warehouse function. You’ll ensure that the warehouse layout and processes are designed to provide the most efficient flow of work through the facility and all associated activities facilitate easy movement.
 
Some of your duties will include:
 
– Managing and prioritising the team workload in line with KPIs
– Managing Third Party Logistics in line with contract and SLAs
– Upholding and improving Goods in and Despatch processes
– Training staff in the principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
– Updating and adhering to Health & Safety, quality and compliance standards
– Providing monthly reporting on performance vs objectives
 
As part of your role, you will take part in an emergency call-out rota outside of core working hours.

About You

To be considered as the Interim Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will need:

– To be a proactive and flexible team player
– To have strong interpersonal and communication skills
– The ability to work to tight deadlines
– To be computer literate including MS Excel and Outlook
 
Experience of working with Sage 200 would be desirable, as would a familiarity with stock control software.
