Position: Warehouse Operative
Location: Pontefract, West Yorkshire
Hours: 40 hours various full and part time shifts all include at least 1 weekend day
Salary: £26,000per year

ROLE:
As a Warehouse Operative, you will work with precision to ensure the accurate and timely receipt, storage of stock and the picking / packing and despatch of stock to their branches and customers. Maintaining a clean and tidy work area, you will ensure effective communication is maintained with Team Managers and colleague`s alike, raising issues of concern when necessary.
You will need to be flexible and respond to the needs of the business, working in other departments when requested including additional hours and supporting other warehouse departments when necessary.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous warehouse experience is essential.
b) Proven ability to communicate effectively within a team.
c) Able to prioritise and manage own workload often working to tight deadlines.
d) Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, quickly and accurately.
e) Able to work under pressure in a variety of different roles / departments.
f) Flexible approach to working hours.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous experience within a retail logistics environment.
You may have experience of the following: Warehouse Operative, Logistics, Retail, Distribution, Warehouse Assistant, Stock Control Operator, Distribution Centre etc.
