My client is rapidly expanding its IT function and has a requirement for a Data Modeller to assist in the development for a new data warehouse solution. They have invested a lot of money into their IT department after realising its importance in driving the company’s success.

The post holder will be a key member of the technical team developing and managing the business area level corporate model supporting its adoption and on-going maintenance. You will also play a key role in working closely with the business to define and contribute to data quality and development.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Define and promote data modelling standards and guidelines across change programmes, ensuring technical governance is applied
Developing and managing the enterprise schema, mapping to the data model, supporting its adoption and on-going maintenance
Work with stakeholders to perform analysis of business processes, systems and data to evolve the use of the data models and schemas, ensuring they stay current, relevant and useful to the Business AreasKey Skills and Experience:

Working with multiple large data warehouse projects
MDM (master data management)
Dimensional Modelling & Schemas (Kimball/Inmon)
In depth understanding of data modelling/architecture
